La Torre Golf Resort
La Torre Golf Resort was the second Polaris World Resort to be completed in 2007. The resort has now developed and matured and the golf course and town centre facilities offer everything you need for a great holiday all year round. Obviously the resort has a golf course through the middle of it but it is not all about golf!
Activities on the resort
When on holiday most people like some time by the pool. There are many pools on the resort and you can use any of them, the nearest being across the road from the apartment. You can take the sunbeds provided in the apartment down to the pool and set up camp for the day, along with a good book, a bottle of wine and factor 30! If lounging by the pool is not for you, then why not go and play tennis, take the kids to the play areas or try out the spa in the 5* Intercontinental Hotel.

Bars and Restaurants

We chose our apartment mainly due to its excellent location within the town centre. All bars and restaurants are within a 2 minute walk, although no noise is given out. There is a variety of cuisine available. So whether you are after a quick snack or a 3 course meal there is something for everyone at La Torre.
The Clubhouse: The club house is fantastic and unlike any of the small buildings they call club houses here in the uk! It is home to Pino's Bar which is an informal bar, great for cocktails and live music is often on here. Also in the club house you will find a lovely bar overlooking the driving range so you can sit on the terrace and watch how it shouldnt be done! There is the pro shop in here too where you can book your rounds of golf or lessons. If like me you cant go a week without checking emails, you will find an computers and wireless access for your own laptop in here for the internet. The final restaurant in here is La Encina. Lovers of fine cusine are sure to find encina buffet quickly becomes one of their favourite restaurants. In a privileged location overlooking the lake, this restaurant offers a show cooking kitchen which prepares a wide range of meat, fish and other delicacies. This buffet restaurant has a unlimited 3 course meal which is great considering this is not a suasge roll and piece of quiche buffet this is fantatsic 5* restaurant food!
The Acacia Restaurant: As if it were an authentic ´tratoria italiana´ in Rome itself, Acacia offers the best Italian cuisine in a privilegied location next to the lake. It features pasta, pizza and risotto as well as less well known but equally delicious dishes. Without a doubt, this is the perfect place to enjoy classic Italian cuisine.
Limonero: This two-storey restaurant specialising in rice dishes overlooks the lake and offers a variety of rice dishes cooked on an open fire. All rice dishes are prefect for eating in company and, in LIMONERO, this becomes a true pleasure, especially when the dish is a delicious traditional paella. If you have never been brave enough to try paella before this is the place to get a great one!
The Tapas Bar: This typically original Spanish Tapas bar is very authentic. Here you can eat as the Spanish do and sample a selection of small food dishes washed down with a glass of locally produced red wine. So why not try some 'Tortilla' spanish omlette, or maybe Russian Salad or Meat Balls. From just 3 euros a plate this is great value.
The Chill Out Bar (Bamboo): Anytime you may come over and one of us are at the resort this is the place you will find us! Our favourite bar is like an island with a litlle bridge going over the lake. The bar is also a restaurant early in the evening served a variety of foods from meats to sushi. The bar has live music several nights of the week and a great cocktail list. Outside of the bar it gets even better! They have a swimming pool on the decked terrace which is surrounded by double beds within a private booth! From the beds you can have a drink or two, go for a swim, or even watch the golf over the lake on the 9th hole. We love this area! There is a charge for this pool
The Irish Bar: This bar is decorated very authentically and you will find this a great bar for socialising or watching sports on the TV. They also host live music and have a vast variety of drinks on offer, we challenge you to find a spirit that they have not got!
In winter seasons these bars are open on a rotational system, so there is always something open. There are timetables on the bar doors.

If you fancy a quieter night in, then why not make use of our barbque and relax on the large terrace and sit and watch the sunset. The supermarket is just 5 minutes walk from the apartment and has everything you will need. Prices are very good too, with a carton of sangria from just over a euro you may not be moving off the balcony all week!
